PRT is a fully automated transit system that runs with small vehicles on an elevated, specially-built guideway. The cars are small (they hold about four people) and are propelled by computer and an internal motor. A key feature of PRT systems is that they do not stop at every station. Since only you and your party travel in the "pod" you will ride directly from orgin station to destination, bypassing intermediate stations. Wikipedia suggests: "in theory, PRT can offer faster end-to-end journey times than other forms of transit." This form of public transit is safer than other modes becuase you ride alone or with chosen companions. The PRT system offers a more comfortable waiting environment than waiting for your bus or train, as the stations are indoors and the wait time is typically less than 1 minute, if any at all.
